During the Dominion War, the U.S.S. Centaur NCC-42043 under Captain Charlie Reynolds was at the front in action. The Centaur class was constructed to offset the numerous losses the Federation suffered in the early war years. She appears for the first time in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "A Time to Stand".
